To copy a picture to the Clipboard

  1. Place the mouse pointer over the image you want to copy.
  2. Press and hold down the mouse button.
  3. Choose Copy Image from the context menu.

To save a picture indicated by a link

  1. Point to the link or item you want, press and hold down the mouse button, and then choose Download Link To Disk.
  2. Type a name for the item.
  3. Select the location where you want the item saved.
  4. Click Save. Internet Explorer saves a copy of the picture, not a shortcut to it.

To save a picture displayed on the current page to your computer

  1. Place the mouse pointer over the image you want to save.
  2. Press and hold down the mouse button.
  3. Choose Download Image To Disk from the context menu. To save all the images on a page, hold down the Command and Option keys while you choose Download Image To Disk.

To control the download pictures

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Web Content tab.
  3. In the Multimedia area, select the Show Pictures check box.
  4. If you want animated images to move continuously, select the Looping check box.

To download pictures when Show Pictures is off

The features below are useful when you have turned off the download of pictures, but want to download all image on a particular site or just one:

To download all pictures on a page when Show Pictures is off

To download an individual image when Show Pictures is off

  1. Move the mouse pointer over the icon for the picture that you want to download.
  2. Press and hold down the mouse button and choose Load Missing Image from the context menu.

To update a page when images are downloaded

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Browser Display tab.
  3. In the Progressive Formatting area, select the radio button that suites your Internet connection.
